2 Suspects With Cannabis Apprehended By Custom Officers on Kaduna Road.

Iexclusive  News Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Customs Service’s Federal Operations Units Zone B detained two individuals in possession of a huge quantity of cannabis (NCS).

Monday Ike and Emeka Alkwali are the suspects’ identities.

The two suspects were caught in possession of the material in 167 packages in a Honda Accord vehicle with registration number AEE132 AA along the Zaria-Kaduna route, according to the unit’s Controller, Mr Al-Bashir Hamisu.

He went on to say that the suspects were caught custom officers based on valid information obtained and that they halted the car and its occupants at 2:10pm before discovering the cannabis packaged in the packages.

According to the statement, while handing over the suspects to the NDLEA, the Comptroller admonished the agency to continue its investigation in order to uncover all those involved in the illegal activity.

The statement urged traders and the general public to work with the Nigeria Customs Service and other security authorities to report criminal activity so that it may be curtailed in society.
