Iexclusive News Nigeria reports that all elementary (Nursery and Primary) schools in Rivers State are to reopen on November 23.
The Rivers state government has directed public and private nursery and primary schools in the state to reopen on November 23.
The approval came from Governor Nyesom Wike on Tuesday November 17, as confirmed in a statement released by Chidi Adiele, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education.

Adiele who recalled that schools were closed in March due to the outbreak of COVID-19, said the the reopening is for the first term 2020/2021 academic session and in line with the school calendar published in August.
He added;
“All headteachers, proprietors and other concerned persons should take all necessary steps to ensure safe and hitch-free resumption. The resumption shall be in line with the extant COVID-19 protocols”
