Driver Arrested For Hit & Run Death Of Nicki Minaj Father
iexclusive News Nigeria reports that the police has apprehended the driver responsible for the hit-and-run death of Nicki Minaj’s Father.
This online news medium recall that Nicki Minaj father, Robert Maraj, 64, died in hospital the day after the hit-and-run incident in New York on Friday.
Nassau County Police said in a news conference they had tracked Charles Polevich’s car, and he turned himself into police.
Polevich has been charged with leaving the scene of an auto accident with a fatality and tampering with evidence.
Police say he was “absolutely aware” of what had happened.
“He got out of the car and he looked at the deceased, got into his car, and made the conscious decision to leave instead of dialing 911, instead of calling an ambulance for the man.
“He went home and secluded the vehicle. He’s well aware of what he did,” Detective Fitzpatrick said.
Police say “the investigation is ongoing”, but the rapper is yet to publicly comment on the incident.
