Gov Uzodinma Reveals Those Behind Imo Attacks

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Hope Uzodinma Imo State Governor has insisted that recent attacks in the state were being sponsored.

Uzodinma said that those behind the attacks are disgruntled politicians in concert with militants and other criminal elements.

Uzodimma claimed the politicians, who are now unleashing violence on the people had already promised to make the state ungovernable for his administration.

He said the politicians were carrying out the attacks because they are unable to contain themselves over the developmental strides of his administration in just one year.

“Some of them have even come out to unmask their real intention which is to make the state ungovernable,” Uzodinma said in his May Day State broadcast on Saturday.

The Governor, however, assured the people that perpetrators of the violence will be exposed.

“Very soon the long arm of the law will expose and prosecute” the sponsors and breachers of peace in the state.

“At the onset of this administration, these same people had vowed to make the state ungovernable for us.

“Our only crime against them is our resolve to hand over the state and its resources to the people as the true owners.

“While I sympathize with them over their feeble and futile efforts at intimidating us, let me declare here that the state will employ all lawful machinery at its disposal to crush criminality.

“Last Sunday’s attempt to burn down my country home was just their Lilliputian way of sending the message that Imo State is insecure. As always, they failed woefully,” he said partly on issues of security in the state.

He called on Imolites to go about their day to day activities and businesses freely, declaring that the security issues of the past few weeks have been resolved.
