Kingdom Emerges As Winner Of Nigerian Idol Season 6

 

Iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Season 6 of Nigerian Idol has come to a close. From the 11 that made it to the live shows from the audition stages, Kingdom, Francis, Akunna, Comfort, and Faith Jason were the top five.

After months of intense musical competition involving over 3000 hopefuls from across the country and over 16 million votes cast at the finale, the sixth season of Nigeria’s biggest music reality show, Nigerian Idol season 6, came to an epic conclusion on Sunday, July 11th, 2021 in Lagos, Nigeria, with Kingdom Kroseide emerging as the “Nigerian Idol.”

Kingdom, Francis, Akunna, Comfort, and Faith are all words that come to me when I think of Kingdom. From the 11 people who made it to the live shows from the audition round, Jason was in the top five. The competition progressed from the last five to the final two contenders, Kingdom and Francis, who faced off on Sunday in a fiercely contested battle that saw Kingdom emerge victorious.

Some of Nigeria’s top talents performed on the finale night, including Ayra Starr, Mavin’s newest signee, who played her song “Away,” and award-winning musician Patoranking, who performed his new hit “Celebrate Me.” Chike, an R&B singer, joined Francis Atela on stage for a stunning duet of the latter’s song “Roju.” Kingdom and legendary producer Cobhams Asuquo teamed together once again for a stunning performance.

Kingdom’s victory highlights his musical ability, which he has demonstrated throughout the competition, from auditions to live shows, where he consistently stunned the judges with his immaculate performances. At the end, Kingdom accomplished just enough to beat Francis.

 

Reacting to his win, a very emotional Kingdom said,‘’My grandma used to say one day you’ll be very great. And then she died. And I almost gave up. But I want to thank the judges for believing in me and my fellow contestants for pushing me.”
