Armed men suspected of being bandits assaulted the Kurar Mota hamlet in Zamfara State’s Bungudu Local Government Area, killing at least 13 police personnel.
iexclusive News Nigeria gathered that the terrorists stormed a police station on Sunday and killed cops on duty.
According to a resident named Kabir Dansada, the armed men had previously attempted to infiltrate Magami, a town located 50 kilometers south of Gusau, the state capital, but were repulsed by the military.
“They withdrew after being overwhelmed by the forces present. They then rode to a village along the Magami – Dankurmi – Dangulbi road, where they killed one individual and set fire to four shops.”
“They then went to Kurar Mota and attacked the police formation outside the township clinic. The robbers then disappeared into the woods.”
“The deceased officers and injured officers were transported to Gusau this afternoon in a convoy of police cars. “I observed several police trucks approaching the area,” he claimed.
