Why Bishop Oyedepo Living Faith Church ‘Sacked 40 Pastors’

Aman, who described himself as a former pastor of the Living Faith Church International, also known as Winners Chapel, Peter Godwin, claims he was fired by the church for failing to generate enough revenue in his branch.

Godwin stated in a trending video monitored by iexclusive News Nigeria that he was hired on August 28th, 2020.

He stated that the state pastor invited him and roughly forty of his colleagues on July 1, 2021, and that they were all fired due to low income in their branches.

Godwin, on the other hand, omitted to mention the state’s name.

“Actually, by the special grace of God, our father in this great assembly, Living Faith Church, received a mandate from the Lord to plant 10,000 churches in Nigeria, and by the special grace of God, I was privileged to be one of the pastors that were employed on the 28th of August, 2020, last year,” he said.

“After that, I began working, immersing myself in the Lord’s work. I did everything I could to win souls for Christ, but on July 1st, I received a call that the state pastor wanted to visit me, so I assumed I was the only one. I went to his office because I was astonished.

According to the letter’s text, “consequent upon the recent performance evaluation, which demonstrated that your church growth index falls below expectation.”

Please be advised that your services as the pastor in charge are no longer necessary in this commission, effective immediately. Before leaving, you must abandon your official accommodation and hand over all property, including the official ID card, to the local pastor.

“So I called management the next day to find out what happened because I wasn’t participating in any questionable or wicked activities. The management informed me that the church does not function at a loss, and that the entire income generated from my station should be sufficient to cover my welfare and accommodation, thus I am hereby dismissed as a result of my poor income.”
