Iexclusive News Nigeria reports that the tryouts for the sixth season of Big Brother Naija drew approximately 40,000 young people.
Despite the fact that COVID-19 prevented the organizers from organizing actual auditions, a number of young people took part in the virtual audition procedure.
The virtual audition method for BBNaija Season 6 was used for the first time in 2020 and will be repeated for the 2021 edition.
Multichoice Bisola Tejumola, the head of programming for West Africa, claimed that over 40,000 entries were received by hopeful youths hoping to be welcomed into the BBNaija house for season 6.
When asked about the selection procedure, Tejumola stated that other than individual uniqueness, there are no specific criteria for securing a seat among the roommates.
“We really don’t have particular criteria for picking or selecting lucky housemates other than just remain being you. The process is just come and be original and our team will spot that in you,” Tejumola said.
The sixth season of BBNaija will premiere on July 24, 2021, with two opening ceremonies, and will run until October 3, 2021.
The 10-week reality television show will chronicle the lives of new housemates as they interact and compete for the big prize of 90 million naira in prizes.
