Nnamdi Kanu: Police Release Sowore, Others In Abuja

Omoyele Sowore, the Convener of RevolutionNow, and others who were detained during a protest outside the Federal High Court in Abuja have been released.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that the activist was detained after staging a protest in support of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, who is currently facing charges.

The ‘Buhari-Must-Go’ activist, on the other hand, rushed to social media a few hours after their arrest to report that he and others had been released.

“They just released us,” he said. We were dragged, harassed, and beaten by them. They escorted us to the Police Station of the Federal Secretariat. I informed them they didn’t have the authority to detain me.

“I have the right to watch Nnamdi Kanu’s trial. They snatched our cards and erased all of our recordings.”
