Bolu Okupe: I’m Still Planning A Gay Wedding In Nigeria, Despite Break-up With Lover

 

Bolu Okupe, the son of former presidential communications adviser Doyin Okupe, has split up with his partner.

 

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that On Tuesday, Bolu Okupe ended his engagement with his French lover, announcing the breakup on Instagram.

“Yes, we split up; regrettably, we are no longer together, and our relationship has come to an end.

Every moment of our time together was a blessing to me. But, love and light, sometimes things simply don’t work out,” he added.

He didn’t give an explanation for the split.

 

Okupe stated, “I believe in life, you simply never say never to anything.”

 

“However, as things stand right now, the relationship is finished, and that’s all I can say. Things don’t always work out, and that’s okay.”

He hoped to locate another woman who would accompany him down the aisle.

“I’m still planning a homosexual wedding in Nigeria,” she says. Let’s hope my next relationship goes well,” he said.

After Bolu Okupe publicly revealed that he had become gay in January, his father, the ex-presidential spokesperson, became enraged.

 

Since 2014, gay marriage has been prohibited in Nigeria.

 

Mr. Okupe stated his son’s present sexual orientation was abnormal in a series of tweets criticizing his son’s sexual orientation.

My attention has been drawn to a publication by Bolu Okupe, my 27-year-old son, in which he publicly declared himself to be gay.

For me, I search beyond what is seen or tangible.
