Nyesom Wike: I’m Not Against Secondus But Bad Leadership In PDP

Nyesom Wike: I’m Not Against Secondus But Bad Leadership In PDP

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has denied having a personal feud with Uche Secondus, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Chairman.

iexclusive News News Nigeria reports that Wike clarified that he exclusively speaks out against the party’s inept leadership.

Despite endorsing Uche Secondus‘ candidacy, the Governor declared on African Independent Television, AIT, that he would not be silent if things went wrong.

“Everyone assumed that anything the national chairman did was prescribed by Wike and required Wike’s approval.

“I think that when you assist someone, you should help him achieve. When things go wrong, though, if you don’t speak out, people will assume you’re complicit. As a result, I owe it to you to inform you that things are not going well,” he added.

Secondus has recently been fighting to keep his position as PDP National Chairman.

Some party members had demanded his resignation due to his apparent failure.

Secondus, on the other hand, promised that he would never quit.

During the call, the PDP National Chairman claimed that a powerful party leader was scheming to take over the former ruling party from him.
