Christian Pulisic’s injury has been updated by Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel ahead of his side’s Carabao Cup meeting with Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
Pulisic did not play in Chelsea’s 3-0 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
After testing positive for COVID-19, the American international was wounded.
Tuchel was quoted by Football London as stating about Pulisic: “The game against Aston Villa is possibly too close, I hope I am wrong.”
“With him not in training yet, this is my perception. Let’s see what happens tomorrow. Perhaps he made a terrific progress today. Perhaps it is possible. It would be fantastic to have him, but it’s unlikely.”
