Nnamdi Kanu‘s case is being surrounded by strong security in Abia state.
iexclusivenews Nigeria reports that the Abia State High Court, which is located on Ikot Ekpene Road in Umuahia, the state capital, is well guarded.
The tight security, according to this online news site, is due to a lawsuit filed by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), against Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government of Nigeria, which is set to be heard today, Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
Nnamdi Kanu, through his special attorney, Mr. Aloy Ejimakor, sued the Federal Government of Nigeria over his extradition from Kenya a few months ago, as reported by iexclusivenews Nigeria.
The secessionist leader’s lawsuit asks that Kanu be returned to Kenya, where he was supposedly extradited from, and then to Britain, where he was resided.
According to iexclusivenews, the suit also sought N5 billion from the federal government for allegedly violating his fundamental rights.
