BREAKING: We’ve Arrested Raiders Of Justice Odili’s Residence – IGP

Agents who stormed the residence of Supreme Court judge, Justice Mary Odili, have been arrested, according to Inspector General of Police (IG) Alkali Usman.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that he said this in an interview at the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Zone Two’s two-day capacity building workshop for security operatives in Lagos and Ogun, which was conducted at Victoria Island in Lagos.

On Friday night, armed security officers broke into Justice Odili’s home for reasons that have yet to be determined.

The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubarkar Malami (SAN), the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) all denied any role in the invasion, which was widely condemned.

Following public outcry, the IG announced on Monday that an inquiry into the incident had begun and that the offenders will be apprehended and prosecuted.

“I have taken my time not to talk hastily on this subject to ensure that when I speak, I am able to provide Nigerians information on what transpired or what has been done,” Usman added, providing updates on the case.

To the best of my knowledge, the criminals have been apprehended, and the circumstances surrounding the invasion or siege on the judge’s residence are being investigated.”

Usman said the police and other security agencies were working to ensure the safe rescue of the six people kidnapped in the early hours of the morning at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).

“We have information that bandits assaulted the University of Abuja, abducting six people.” “Police and other security authorities, including the military, are working to guarantee that the victims are rescued safely,” he said.

The IG also shot down allegations that suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari had been recalled, claiming that he would provide appropriate security for the upcoming governorship elections in Anambra State.
