BREAKING NEWS: Dave Umahi And Deputy Replaced By PDP

Dave Umahi and his deputy replacement as Ebonyi Governor and deputy governor has been announced.

iexclusivenews had reported earlier that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Tuesday, March 8, 2022, removed Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State and his Deputy, Dr. Eric Kelechi Igwe.

In response to the ruling, Dave Umahi stated that he was still the governor of Ebonyi State.

Claiming that the verdict of Justice Inyang Ekwo, which had him and his deputy removed from office on Tuesday, had been bought.

“Ekwo was charged and needed to discharge,” Dave Umahi stated.

Adding that he was not shocked by the judge’s decision in favor of the Peoples Democratic Party.

“There are three ways whereby a governor can vacate his office: it is either by death, resignation, or impeachment.

There is no other constitutional provision that empowers a hatchet man to turn the Constitution upside down.

“I’ve listened to Inyang Ekwo’s judgment, and it’s clear that he was on a mission.” 

“In cases like this, he was making every effort to overturn the judgements of the Appeal and Supreme Courts,” Umahi stated.

However, iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Dave Umahi’s replacement has emerged just hours after the judgment.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s largest opposition party.

Has submitted the names of its nominees to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

To replace fired Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi and his deputy, Dr Eric Kelechi Igwe (INEC).

Senator Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP National Chairman. Revealed that the party had submitted the names of Hon. Iduma Igariwey as governor and Fred Udogwo as a deputy governor to INEC.

He began by saying this while speaking at the PDP National Headquarters in Wadata Plaza in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
