iexclusivenews Monday, reports that armed bandits detonated a bomb on a passenger train traveling between Kaduna and Abuja.
The attack occurred two days after armed gangs attacked Kaduna International Airport, killing several aviation workers and injuring many more.
This online news outlet gathered that the development was confirmed by Fidet Okhiria, MD of Nigerian Railway Corporation.
Who told Peoples Gazette that attempts are underway to get further information about it.
The number of casualties was not immediately confirmed by iexclusivenews.
Since its opening in 2016, the railway has been one of the busiest in the country.
With the idea that it will give a safer alternative to passengers traveling the route.
However, despite the government’s repeated assurances to civilians regarding their safety, multiple attacks linked to bandits and armed gangs have happened along the route.
