Bnei Brak Shooting: 5 Killed In Bnei Brak Shooting

Bnei Brak Shooting — Five people were killed in a shooting in the Bnei Brak on Tuesday evening in at least two different places. Another person is in serious condition.

iexclusivenews reports that the shooting was first reported around 8:00 p.m. on HaShnaim Street. One person was found killed in a car and two other people were killed on a sidewalk nearby.

Another body was discovered on the parallel Hertzl Street. A police officer, the fifth casualty, was airlifted to Beilinson Hospital in critical condition.

This online news outlet gathered that the shooter was said to be on a motorcycle when his body was discovered on Jabotinsky Street.

On the scene, another person was apprehended and questioned on suspicion of helping the gunman.

The terrorist was 27 years old from the village of Ya’bad in the northern West Bank. He was jailed for half a year in the past and had worked illegally at a building site in Bnei Brak.

Israel Police Spokesperson Eli Levy and Bnei Brak mayor Avraham Rubinstein requested that bystanders allow rescue forces to make their way to the scene and to stay away from the area.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will hold a situation assessment at 10:00 p.m. with the Defense and Public Security Ministers, the IDF Chief of Staff, Israel Police Commissioner, Shin Bet head and others, the Prime Minister’s Office announced.

Ramat Gan Mayor Carmel Shama-Hacohen said that the city’s residents should stay indoors for the time being, N12 reported.

This is the third incident in a week that has seen 11 people slain, making it the worst in years. This is the tenth terrorist incident this month.

Tensions have grown as the month of Ramadan approaches, as well as the annual Land Day, which is commemorated on March 30 every year since six Arab Israelis were killed in Galilee riots against land confiscation on that date in 1976.
