‘Wike Lu Le’: Obaigbena, Tambuwal Mocks Wike In A Viral Video

Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has been mocked in a viral video on social media as he was being referred to as “Wike O lu le.” 

iexclusivenews reports that Nduka Obaigbena while hosting some guests, at the funeral of his late mother, Margaret Obaigbena, in Owa-Oyibu, Delta state, could be heard singing, “Wike O lu le.”

This online news outlet understands that the viral video on social media showed the media mogul, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State; Nigerian Jùjú musician, Sir Shina Peters among others heaping jibes at Wike.

Obaigbena words, “Governor of Sokoto Tambuwal; Future president; Chairman of PDP Governors Forum; Presidential candidate Tambuwal; Tambuwal! Wike ‘lule’, Tambuwal! Wike ‘lule’, Tambuwal! Wike ‘lule’, Tambuwal!”

After Obaigbena’s joke, Shina Peters, was handed the microphone by Obaigbena and opted to the stage for his performance.

“O lu le,” in English means “He fell flat.” The saying, which has now been adopted in a political vocabulary in Nigerian politics.

Emanated from the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

When speaking to APC delegates in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, before the party’s primary, Tinubu made the outburst in reference to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Since the fallout from its presidential primary elections in May, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been entangled in a web of crises.

Meanwhile, iexclusivenews Nigeria reports that Obaigbena and Wike are currently in court over allegations of libel.

After Tambuwal withdrew from the PDP presidential primary race and gave his backing to Atiku and Atiku was given the party’s nomination after winning the primaries.

After Mr Atiku chose Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as his running mate instead of Wike, who is rumored to have been suggested for the PDP flag bearer, the situation in the PDP took a terrible turn.

As a result of concerns that Mr Atiku overlooked Wike, who was reportedly the chosen candidate of the majority of the national working committee (NWC) members.

Atiku’s selection of Okowa has caused controversy within the party.But as the 2023 presidential race nears.

Mr Atiku and Wike have unable to come to an agreement despite numerous attempts by the party leadership to mediate.
