Photos have emerged online of Nigeria’s Super Falconets sleeping on chairs and the floor of a Turkish airport in Istanbul, Turkey.
The crew was supposed to be flying from Costa Rica and stopping in Istanbul for 24 hours.
Collin Udoh, a former Super Eagles communications officer, sent the photographs to his social media pages and stated, “Nigeria’s #Falconets have been traveling from Costa Rica since 6:30am on Monday.”
“They’re now in Istanbul on a 24-hour layover and sleeping on the airport chairs and floor, or wherever they can find.”
Meanwhile, iexclusivenews Nigeria reported that the Falconets bowed out of the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup after a 2-0 loss to The Netherlands on Sunday.
