Queen Elizabeth: Family Rush To Side Of Ailing Monarch Over Doctor’s Concern

Doctors expressed concern for Queen Elizabeth’s health on Thursday and advised that she should remain under medical supervision, prompting family members to rush to be with her.

iexclusivenews reports that the queen, the oldest monarch in the world and the monarch with the longest reign in the United Kingdom, has experienced “episodic mobility problems” since the end of 2017.

“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” the palace said in a statement.

The queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

She is currently residing at Balmoral Castle in Scotland with his eldest son Prince William and her heir apparent Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, according to officials.

Anne, Andrew, and Edward, her other children, were also traveling to the castle.

A spokeswoman announced that while in Britain for several events, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan would also visit Scotland.

“My prayers, and the prayers of people across the @churchofengland and the nation, are with Her Majesty The Queen today,” Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, said on Twitter.

Queen Elizabeth spent a night in the hospital in October of last year, and ever since, she has had to limit her public appearances.

She canceled a virtual meeting with senior ministers on Wednesday after receiving medical advice to rest.

She had been spotted appointing Liz Truss as the nation’s new prime minister the day before in Balmoral.

A royal insider downplayed rumors that the monarch had fallen.

What You Should Know About Queen Elizabeth II Reign

Queen Elizabeth has reigned over the United Kingdom and more than a dozen other countries, including Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, since 1952. She celebrated her 70th year on the throne earlier this year with four days of national celebrations in June.

“I have been inspired by the kindness, joy, and kinship that has been so evident in recent days,” she said at the time. “I hope this renewed sense of togetherness will be felt for many years to come.”

Elizabeth took the throne after her father, King George VI, died on February 6, 1952, when she was only 25 years old.

She was crowned the following June. The first broadcast coronation foreshadowed a new world in which the royals’ lives would be extensively scrutinized by the media.

Elizabeth became ruler at a time when Britain still controlled a large portion of her empire. It was emerging from the devastation of WWII, with food rationing still in effect and class and privilege still ruling society.

However, iexclusivenews Nigeria reports that Winston Churchill was her first prime minister. Joseph Stalin was the leader of the Soviet Union, and the Korean War was raging. Truss is the 15th premier of her unprecedented rule.

The prime minister said: “My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”

Lindsay Hoyle, speaker of the House of Commons, interrupted an energy debate in parliament to say he sent his best wishes to the monarch.

“Along with the rest of the country, I am deeply worried by the news from Buckingham Palace this afternoon,” opposition Labour leader Keir Starmer said.

Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said on Twitter:

“All of us are feeling profoundly concerned at reports of Her Majesty’s health. My thoughts and wishes are with the Queen and all of the Royal Family at this time.”
