Peter Obi: Why I’ll Dialogue With Yoruba Nation Agitators, IPOB, Others

Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, says he will dialogue with IPOB, Yoruba Nation agitators and every agitating group in Nigeria if elected president in the 2023 election.

iexclusivenews reports that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the south-east and Yoruba Nation agitators in the south-west are currently agitating for independence from Nigeria.

“There’s agitation all over Nigeria. The first question you will ask yourself is, why the agitations? Why were no agitations years back? What happened suddenly?

“I will dialogue. I will negotiate. I will plead with all agitators for us to be one family. And start solving it by doing things based on justice. It is injustice and unfairness that bring all these.

“There is agitation even in my house. If I do things wrongly my wife will agitate. That is why you negotiate and beg people. You don’t solve all these things by confrontation,” Mr Obi said in a video published by Njenje Media TV.

Breakaway fervor has recently increased in the South-east and South-west regions, which are controlled by the Igbos and Yorubas, respectively.

Mr Obi, a former Anambra governor, has received widespread support across the country since entering the race on the LP platform.

He is up against Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, and a slew of other contenders.

However, iexclusivenews Nigeria reports that Mr Peter Obi, a frugal personality who is seen as a better alternative to other contenders, is running on turning Nigeria into a production economy and lowering the cost of governing.
