Elon Musk Suspends Kanye West Twitter Account After Offensive Image Post

Elon Musk’s Twitter has guidelines for appropriate content, and Kanye West, who now goes by Ye, transgressed one of those guidelines with a late-night post on Thursday that led to the network suspending his account.

iexclusivenews reports that the social media platform deleted the artist’s Star of David and Swastika image that was posted on Twitter.

A message stating that the post was in violation of Twitter Inc.’s policies and a link to its policy page outlining disciplinary measures were placed in its place.

The entire account has since been suspended, and all of its tweets are now hidden. Before the ban, Ye had 32.2 million followers.

Mr Musk addressed the issue after the post was initially removed. Saying Ye had violated Twitter’s rule against incitement to violence for the second time, and his account would be suspended.

It’s the most high-profile test of Musk’s avowed policy of making Twitter a home for free speech, even if it offends, as long as it’s not illegal.

This online news outlet understands that two weeks ago, Mr Musk welcomed Ye back from his Twitter exodus while also restoring former US President Donald Trump’s access.

Ye had left Twitter after the service took action on his anti-Semitic posts.

Meanwhile,  iexclusivenews Nigeria reports that the two men’s friendly relations did not last long, as Ye’s most recent tweet. Which he labeled his last, featured an unflattering image of a shirtless Musk on vacation.

Mr Musk replied to that post, saying, “That is fine.” He also responded to the removed image tweet with “This is not.”
