Mmesoma’s Parent Charges JAMB with Result Fraud After Allegations of JAMB Score Fraud

Joy Mmesoma Ejikeme’s father Romanus Ejikeme supported her when she was accused of falsifying her JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board) result on the Unified Matriculation Qualifying Test.

In an interview with Lagos City Reporters.com, Mr. Ejikeme refuted the testing authority’s claim, claiming that his daughter had always been a superior student.

He said that his daughter’s academic prowess had persisted from elementary school through senior year.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, or JAMB, accused Joy Mmesoma Ejikeme, a student at the Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, of changing her score through a manual process and re-uploading the alleged new score into its website on Saturday.

Mmesoma had applied to the University of Lagos and enrolled for the UTME in April 2023.

Fabian Benjamin, a spokesman for the test board, said this in a statement: “The printed slip displayed by Mesoma was last used in 2021. The delivered slip now has the candidate’s picture on it. She also received a 249 rather than the 362 that she is proudly displaying and has already printed off.

In an interview with ARISE NEWS, Romanus Ejikeme, the accused’s father, claimed that the board’s accusation was false and that it should be held responsibility for any mistake.

Romanus Ejikeme asserts that from primary school through her present post-primary years, his daughter has consistently outperformed peers academically.

A brief glance at the accused’s result sheet, which was made public by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s director of public relations, Fabian Benjamin, revealed the following outcomes: She took the exam in April and received a combined score of 249 in all the disciplines: English usage is 64, physics use is 54, biology use is 74, while chemistry use is 57.
