Union Bank has been acknowledged as a Model Champion for Gender Equality

The Union Bank of Nigeria (UBN) has been acknowledged for its support of workplace gender equality. At the Nigeria2EqualGender Leader Awards, the bank took home two prizes in the categories of “Gender Equality Champion” and “Gender Diversity in SupplyChain.”

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) organised the first awards ceremony, which took place in Lagos, with the aim of recognising and praising private sector organisations and business leaders who have shown exceptional commitment and efforts in advancing gender equality.

The honours intended to acknowledge the banks’ substantial achievements in promoting gender equity and equality in the workplace and in assisting and empowering women from all walks of life.

The honour brought attention to Union Bank’s dedication to promoting diversity within business settings and fostering an inclusive culture that respects and cherishes each individual.

Olufunmilola Aluko, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer, Union Bank, spoke on behalf of the business at the awards ceremony and expressed her joy at the noteworthy recognition.
