Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo, popularly known as Nino, has announced his separation from his wife of 12 years, Bunmi.
The actor, who is known for his roles in movies such as Picture Perfect, Husbands of Lagos, and Merry Men 2, shared the news of his divorce on his Instagram page on Friday, September 1.
Ninalowo expressed his sadness over the end of his marriage and the impact it would have on his children.
iexclusivenews reports that he also stated that he had tried his best to make the marriage work, but it was not meant to be.
According to Ninalowo, he and his wife had irreconcilable differences that made them incompatible.
Ninalowo said that they had grown apart over the years and realized that they needed to move on with their independent lives.
He also said that he had to take care of his health and mental state for the sake of his children and himself.
Ninalowo asked his fans and followers to respect their privacy and pray for them during this difficult time.

Ninalowo and Bunmi met in Chicago, USA, where they both lived and worked.
They got married in 2011 and moved back to Nigeria in 2014.
They have two children together, a son named Keyo and a daughter named Aliyah.
Ninalowo once revealed that he converted from Islam to Christianity because of his wife, who is a devout Christian.
He also said that his wife was his biggest supporter and motivator in his acting career.
Ninalowo said that he would focus on being a better father to his children and a better person to himself.
He also said that he would continue to work hard and pursue his passion for acting.
He thanked God for everything he had achieved so far and hoped for a brighter and more fulfilling future.
