LAGOS, (iexclusivenews) – Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, has shown his generosity and compassion by donating N15 million to Liam Aloba, the son of late Nigerian singer, ‘Mohbad’.
The donation was announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) by Olusegun Dada, the Special Assistant on Social Media to the President.
A Receipt of the Transaction
Dada shared a screenshot of the receipt of the transaction on his X handle, praising Seyi Tinubu for his kindness and benevolence.
He said that Seyi Tinubu was an apple that didn’t fall far from the tree, implying that he inherited his father’s philanthropic spirit.
The receipt showed that Seyi Tinubu transferred N15 million to Liam Aloba’s account on September 20, 2023, with the reference “Donation for Mohbad’s son”.
The receipt also had a message from Seyi Tinubu that read “May God bless you and keep you safe”.
A Commitment to Supporting Talented Individuals
The donation reflects the Tinubu family’s commitment to supporting talented individuals within the Nigerian music industry.
President Bola Tinubu has been a vocal advocate for promoting and empowering young artists in Nigeria, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
He has also initiated several programs and initiatives to provide funding, training, mentorship, and exposure for aspiring musicians.
Some of these programs include the Tinubu Music Foundation, the Tinubu Music Awards, and the Tinubu Music Festival.
Dada also joined in mourning Mohbad with a hashtag, “#RIPMohbad”, expressing his condolences and sympathy for the deceased singer and his family.
A Void in the Music Industry
Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, died under controversial circumstances on September 18, 2023.
He was reportedly shot by unknown gunmen while leaving a nightclub in Lagos.
Mohbad was one of the rising stars of the Nigerian music industry, known for his unique style of rap and his catchy songs.
He had collaborated with several popular artists such as Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibile, Davido, and Wizkid.
However, his death has left a void in the music industry, reminding us of the fragility of life and the importance of supporting and nurturing young talent.
His fans and fellow artists have been paying tribute to him on social media platforms, celebrating his legacy and achievements.
Seyi Tinubu’s donation to Mohbad’s son is a gesture of compassion and support for the Nigerian music industry.
It is also a way of honoring Mohbad’s memory and ensuring that his son has a bright future ahead of him.
