Peter Obi Condemns the Deadly Attack on Policemen and Vigilante in Anambra

ANAMBRA, (iexclusivenews) – Peter Obi, the Former Governor of Anambra State, and Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, has expressed his shock and sorrow over the brutal attack that took place in Uga, Anambra State, on 28 December, 2023.

The attack resulted in the death of two policemen who were escorting Chris Ubah, a prominent businessman and politician.

The attackers also abducted some unknown persons from the scene.

Peter Obi also revealed that he was informed of another incident of violence that occurred in Amesi Community, in the same Aguata Local Government Area, where a vigilante member, Chigbo Onuegbu (Akawo), was killed and another one was kidnapped by armed men.

Obi lamented the state of insecurity and violence in the country, saying that it was unacceptable and heartbreaking to see such disregard for human life.

Peter Obi urged the authorities to take decisive action to bring the perpetrators to justice and restore peace and order in the affected areas.

Obi also extended his condolences and sympathy to the families of the slain policemen and vigilante, as well as his brother, Chris Ubah, who he described as a dear brother. He assured them of his prayers and support in this difficult time.
