Plateau Massacre: Fresh Terror Attack Hits Shere Village in Jos

(iexclusivenews) – Shere Village, a community in Jos East Plateau State, Nigeria, has been the target of another terror attack by Islamist Fulani militants, who are suspected of trying to displace the indigenous people of the Middle Belt region.

Two Villagers and One Attacker Killed in Violent Clash

According to eyewitnesses, the attackers stormed the village in the early hours of Saturday, 30th December 2023, and opened fire on the residents.

Two villagers were confirmed dead, while one of the attackers was killed by a self-defense group known as vigilantes, who fought back with a blowback rifle.

The vigilantes are a local volunteer force that has been risking their lives to protect their community and land from the invaders.
