Mogadishu, (iexclusivenews) – The Somalia government announced the successful completion of a military operation that resulted in the elimination of several key Al-Shabaab leaders.

The operation targeted a vehicle that was transporting Al-Shabaab members, including some of the group’s top commanders.

The government stated that the operation was a major blow to Al-Shabaab, as it resulted in the loss of many militants and leaders.

However, the government also emphasized the recent escalation of air operations against Al-Shabaab, which have inflicted significant damage to the group’s capabilities and resources.

The operation came just days after the first US-confirmed attack of the year in the Lower Jubba region, which also targeted Al-Shabaab members.

According to regional and military officials, the attack killed at least 20 al-Shabab militants in central Somalia.

The Somalia National Army reported that the attack killed more than 25 militants, and destroyed a house where the group’s leaders were holding a meeting, as well as a garage where car bombs were being prepared.
