Exposed! Navy Busts 15 Largest Illegal Refineries In Rivers

Nigerian Navy Cracks Down on Shocking Oil Theft Operation:

– 15 Massive “Kitchen” Refineries Uncovered in Rivers State
Staggering 2.7 Million Litres of Crude Illegally Processed Every Day!
Navy Commander Vows to Crush “Unpatriotic” Thieves & Protect Nation’s Economy

Rivers State, (iexclusivenews) – In a stunning bust, the Nigerian Navy has uncovered a network of 15 enormous illegal oil refineries operating in the Ke community of Degema. These “kitchen refineries,” each equipped with six cooking pots and large storage tanks, could process a staggering 2.7 million liters of stolen crude oil daily!

Leading the raid, Commodore Desmond Igbo, Commander of the Navy Ship Pathfinder, expressed outrage at the blatant theft.

“This discovery exposes the shocking scale of illegal oil bunkering plaguing our nation,” he declared. “These unpatriotic criminals are stealing directly from the Nigerian people, depriving us of vital revenue and fueling environmental damage.”

Fueling a Black Market:

The illegal refineries, nicknamed “kitchens” due to their rudimentary setup, refined stolen crude into low-quality products sold on the black market. This not only harms legitimate businesses but also endangers consumers with potentially contaminated fuel.

Navy Steps Up the Fight:

Commodore Igbo emphasized the Navy’s unwavering commitment to stopping this illegal activity.

“We are intensifying Operation Delta Sanity to dismantle these criminal networks and protect our nation’s oil and gas resources,” he affirmed. “We are also engaging with local communities to curb their involvement and raise awareness of the devastating consequences of oil theft.”

A Call to Action:

This bust highlights the urgent need for a multi-pronged approach to combat oil theft in Nigeria. This includes strengthening law enforcement, promoting community engagement, and investing in alternative livelihoods for those trapped in the illegal trade.
