6 Super Tucano Fighter Jet Finally Arrived Nigeria
Thursday afternoon, the first batch of A-29 Super Tucanos landed in Kano from the United States.
iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Nigerian Air Force’s Director of Public Relations and Information, revealed this to media in Abuja.
Major General Bashir Magashi (Rtd), Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao met the aircraft as it landed at 12.34 p.m.
The six jets are among the 12 aircraft provided by the United States of America.
Their presence will strengthen the military’s ability to tackle insecurity in Nigeria.
Nigeria is dealing with insecurity on several fronts, with Boko Haram terrorists and robbers wreaking the most devastation.
