Sanwo-Olu Goes Into Self Isolation
Iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has gone into self-isolation, after one of his close aides tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.
Sanwo-Olu and other members of his team were asked to go on self-isolation while their samples have been taken for testing by the Lagos State biobank.
This online news medium gathered that this was issued in a statement signed by the State Commissioner of Health, Professor Akin Abayomi on Friday.
He said the State is seeing an increase in number of COVID-19 cases, thereby urging all Lagosians to adhere to the prescribed advisories of safe distancing, good hand and respiratory hygiene and avoidance of unnecessary gatherings.
He added that the Governor had taken at least three COVID-19 tests since May when he announced that 10 of his aides had tested positive for the virus.
