PDP Calls For Calm Confirms Resignation Of National Officials

The People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC) has acknowledged the resignation of several of its executives.

iexclusive News Nigeria gathered that as a result of the PDP’s turmoil, seven prominent members of the party have quit.

Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, said the party had received notification from certain elected members of the party’s National Executive Committee at a news conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

Stakeholders and other PDP members were encouraged to be calm, and Ologbondiyan assured them that the problem would be handled.

“At our great party’s National Working Committee meeting today, deputies who are elected members of the National Executive Committee gave notice of their resignation.”

“It was promptly convened a meeting of the National Working Committee and the deputies to discuss the problems presented. The party will investigate the complaints made by members of the NEC and the National Working Committee.
