1. Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, yesterday signed the bill prohibiting open grazing in Lagos into law. The Governor assented the bill at the Lagos House on Monday.

2. Telecommunications networks have been shut down in 14 of the 23 Local Government Areas of Sokoto State as part of the efforts to check banditry. Governor Aminu Tambuwal announced this in an interview on Monday.

3. More difficult times await Nigerians in the months ahead as the Federal Government yesterday announced that it is ending the N30 billion monthly electricity subsidy by January 2022. The Special Adviser to the President on infrastructure, Ahmed Zakari, disclosed this at a stakeholders’ engagement meeting, organised by the Nigerian Electricity Commission (NERC) in Lagos.

Candidates in the South East who missed the 2021 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) will be given another opportunity to write the examination, the Federal Ministry of Education has said.
