Anambra Election: APC Has Written 10 LGs Results Ahead Of Poll – Obiano

Willie Obiano, governor of Anambra State, has accused the All Progressives Congress, APC, of plotting to rig the governorship election on Saturday.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Obiano, speaking through Don Adinuba, the state Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, accused the APC of pre-writing results for ten local government areas.

He claimed that the APC was plotting to undermine INEC officials in a number of local government areas.

In a statement signed by the Commissioner, he stated that the APC intends to commit fraud by taking advantage of President Muhammadu Buhari’s delay in assenting to the new Electoral Bill, which requires electronic voting.

“The Anambra State Government has credible intelligence indicating that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has already written results of ten Local Government Areas in relation to the gubernatorial election which will take place tomorrow, November 6, 2021,” he said. Onitsha North, Onitsha South, Aguata, Orumba South, Orumba North, Idemili North, Idemili South, Ogbaru, Anambra East, and Anambra West are the winners. These are local government areas with a large number of registered voters.

“APC operatives are relying on compromised Independent National Electronic Commission (INEC) officials, who smuggled out the result sheets of a number of polling units two nights ago and some LGAs last night, to accept and announce the results, regardless of authentic results submitted electronically by INEC officials.”

“They intend to exploit the fact that President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has yet to assent to the new Electoral Bill that makes electronic voting mandatory in order to perpetrate the fraud.”

The plot, according to the Commissioner, is being orchestrated by a former Senate President, a former Deputy Governor, and a current state Governor from the Southeast.

“A former Senate President from the Southeast, a former State Deputy Governor who later became a Senator from the Southwest, and a sitting State Governor from the Southeast are all deeply involved in the fraud to play with the Anambra people’s destiny.”

“The purpose of this public announcement is to alert the people of Anambra, the INEC national leadership, security agencies, the mass media, election observers, civil society organizations, and the international community to this grand plot.” “I just can’t stand the barefaced brigandage,” he added.
