Nnamdi Kanu: Judge Refused US Entry Before Adjourning Trial Till January – Ejimakor

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has raised an alarm against Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court, according to Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Justice Nyako was accused by Ejimakor of barring Kanu’s lawyers from the courtroom and refusing them access.

Lawyers and traditional rulers were prevented from entering the trial by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Kanu’s lawyers were believed to have left the courtroom to join their colleagues outside in solidarity with those who had been excluded.

Ejimakor, on the other hand, refuted the claim, claiming that the judge barred Kanu’s counsel from the courtroom and adjourned the case indefinitely until January 19, 2022.

Kanu’s legal team would take steps to rectify the situation, Ejimakor promised in a tweet.

“I’m not happy,” Ejimakor added, describing the judge’s move as a miscarriage of justice. The globe should not be in a good mood. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyers were barred from the courtroom, and we were denied access.

“She then delayed the matter indefinitely to January 19, 2022.” This is a complete miscarriage of justice. We will undoubtedly take immediate and decisive action.”
