Israel: 4 killed In A Knife Attack 

After a man with a knife attacked five people and ran over another in southern Israel on Tuesday. Prime Minister promised a crackdown on “terrorists.”

Unrest broke out at a gas station and outside a shopping mall in Beersheba’s southern city shortly after 4:00 p.m. (1400 GMT), according to police and emergency medical responders.

iexclusivenews reports that according to authorities, the assailant abandoned his car after arriving at the gas station and “stabbed a woman.”

He then returned to his car and slammed it into a 60-year-old cyclist outside the shopping center.

The guy then exited his car and began stabbing others across the shopping center.

“Citizens who were on the scene fired (at the suspect) and neutralized him,” police stated, without mentioning the suspect’s condition.

Four individuals were killed, according to an MDA spokeswoman.

Following the attack, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett conducted “a consultation with the minister of internal security and the commissioner of the police,” according to his office.

Later, he commended those who shot the alleged assailant, saying they “demonstrated resourcefulness and courage while preventing further casualties.”

However, the southern Israel area of the country, including Beersheba, has recently been spared from such violence, with most of it centered in Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem or the occupied West Bank.

Recent instability in the south has seen fights between Israel’s Bedouin community, which makes up 20% of the country’s Arab population, and security personnel.

There were no immediate details from police on the presumed attacker’s possible affiliations.
