APC Reportedly Picks Kano Governor Ganduje As Tinubu’s Running Mate

The All Progressives Congress (APC) appears to have chosen Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as the favored running mate for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ahead of the 2023 presidential elections.

iexclusivenews reports that this disclosure was contained in a press statement issued by Suleiman Magaji, the Director-General of Ganduje’s Support Group, and made available to newsmen in Abuja.

This online news outlet understands that according to the announcement. Tinubu’s running mate for the incumbent Kano State Governor was chosen by the APC National Working Committee based on loyalty, commitment, and the state’s infrastructure development.

The statement, on the other hand, recognises that the issue of religion was raised eloquently during the selection process.

But notes that Nigerians are more concerned with developmental progress than religious matters.

While praising the party’s National Working Committee for its decision thus far.

The group urged all party members to back the duo in order for the party to win the presidential elections.

“It is past time for us to band together to achieve success for all of our candidates, from the ward level to the presidency,” the statement continued.
