Peter Obi Supporters Shutdown Lagos With 4 Million Man March (Videos)
Peter Obi Supporters Under the leadership of the rapidly expanding “Obidient Movement,” gathered in thousands in key locations throughout Lagos.
Many of the supporters were seen on Saturday morning carrying posters of Peter Obi the LP candidate and his vice, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, who had branded vests as they marched around and moved to the bridge leading. They were seen from National Stadium, Surulere to Lekki, and from Ikeja to Festac area of Lagos.
National Stadium
As a result of the rally, there was increased traffic on the stadium axis between Alaka and Teslim Balogun Stadium and all the way down to Ojuelegba.
However, iexclusivenews Nigeria reports that the Third Force Movement urged the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to allow the National Stadium Lagos’ parking lot for the gathering of Peter Obi’s Labour Party, LP, supporters on October 1.
The Third Force Movement noted that the usage of the stadium would prevent an unplanned lockdown but said that without permission, the organizers could not prevent Nigerians from using alternative locations including Gani Fawehinmi Park or Lekki Toll Gate.
Lekki Toll Gate: Strict compliance to ‘No rally’ order:
At Lekki Toll Gate, the Lagos State Police Command was able to enforce strict compliance with the no rally order.
On Wednesday, the LP and its supporters were told not to gather at the Lekki tollgate for the rally by a federal high court in Lagos.
Ikeja:
We never even start but the crowd choke for Ikeja. Obidients on standby for Peter Obi. Pass it on!
