Argentina vs France: Silvestre Reveals Tactics To Beat Messi, Predicts Winner of World Cup
Argentina vs France – Mikael Silvestre, a former Manchester United, and Arsenal star has said France players should worry about Lionel Messi. As both teams prepare to play the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday.
Silvestre believes Messi, 35, is the only player Didier Deschamps should spend time thinking about how to stop if France is to win on Sunday.
Messi has five goals and three excellent assists in the competition so far, and the former Barcelona star has been the standout player in Qatar.
The hardest task for Les Bleus will be stopping Messi and Argentina’s other impressive attackers because France’s defense has struggled a lot in this tournament, keeping just one clean sheet thus far.
Silvestre forewarned that Deschamps had suggested that his nation target players like Enzo Fernandez and Alexis MacAllister stop the flow of passes to Messi.
“First of all you need to stop the feeder to Messi,” the former defender told a betting expert.
“And it’s very important to get close to him before he receives the ball otherwise it will be too late because he is too good.
“We have to make sure to close him down before he gets the ball.
“I think France will win because we are very disciplined.”
