What is INEC form EC8A?

INEC form EC8A is a document that shows the results of the presidential election at the polling unit level. It contains information such as the number of registered voters, accredited voters, valid votes, rejected votes, and votes for each candidate.

How did the court react to the petitioners’ evidence?

The presiding Justice of the five-member panel of Justices of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), Justice Haruna Tsammani admitted all the documents tendered by the petitioners, despite objections raised by INEC, Tinubu, Kashim Shettima, and the APC, who are the first to fourth respondents in the petition.

The respondents said they would give reasons for their objection at the address stage.

The court also advised Obi’s lawyer, Chief Emeka Okpoko, (SAN) to arrange the documents in sequential order to save time for the court.

What is the next step for the petition?

The hearing in the petition continues on Friday, June 2, 2023. The petitioners are expected to present more evidence and witnesses to prove their case.
