Organised Labour Walks Out of Minimum Wage Negotiations Again

iexclusivenews – For the third time, the Organised Labour has walked out of the Tripartite Committee meeting on the new national minimum wage, citing the government’s failure to make a new offer beyond the existing N60,000 proposal.

The meeting, which aimed to resolve the long-standing minimum wage dispute, ended in a stalemate as the government and the organised private sector refused to budge from their previous offer.

Negotiations Deadlocked, Labour Prepares to Address the Press

According to a source present at the meeting, the negotiations reached a deadlock when the government and the organised private sector remained adamant on the N60,000 offer made on Tuesday.

In response, the organised labour has scheduled a press conference for 4 pm to address the impasse and potentially announce their next course of action.
