Nigeria Protest: Foreign Mercenaries Behind 1 August Protests – IGP

(iexclusivenews) – The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has raised an alarm about the involvement of foreign mercenaries in the upcoming nationwide #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests.

In a press briefing held in Abuja, he urged Nigerians to exercise caution before participating in any demonstrations.

Egbetokun revealed that the police force has been closely monitoring the situation.

While some groups advocate for peaceful protests, others have called for violent demonstrations akin to recent events in Kenya.

However, the IGP expressed concerns that seemingly peaceful protesters might harbor hidden violent agendas.

Given the risks associated with foreign mercenaries and potential violence, Egbetokun urged all citizens to think twice before joining any protest group.
