AIG AHMED ILIYASU WAS VISITED BY THE LAGOS NAPTIP COMMANDER
The newly appointed Commander in-charge National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons *(NAPTIP) Lagos Zonal Command Mr. Daniel Atokolo* paid a courtesy visit on the *Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu, psc+* today Wednesday 19th August, 2020, the visit which was geared towards synergy and concerted efforts between *NAPTIP* and the *Nigeria Police* in dealing effectively with multifaceted nature of crime of human trafficking.
The Commander in retinue of officers was ushered into the office of the *AIG* where proper introduction of the *Zonal management team* and the *Commander’s entourage* took place.
The *Commander* stated reason for the courtesy visit; which is sustenance of the existing synergy between the agencies while the *AIG* in his response; reiterate the commitment and readiness of the Zone to synergize and collaborate with *NAPTIP* in ensuring partnership towards tackling the hydra headed menace of the crime of human trafficking, child labour, slavery and other gender offences that have become multifaceted and transnational; using the veritable tool of Community Policing Strategy of problem solving and to maintain a good work relationship, the visit was drawn to an end amidst group photographs.
