Anambra Election: Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB Never Said Polls Won’t Hold – Abaribe

Eyinnaya Abaribe, the Senate Minority Leader, has stated that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and his group have never indicated that elections should not be held in Anambra State.

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Abaribe claimed that fifth columnists, not Kanu or IPOB, are behind the no-election order.

Abaribe said Kanu’s lawyers acknowledged that the instruction did not come from their leader during a town hall meeting with Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU) leadership and students in Awka.

“Who gave the order to cancel the election?” IPOB has never stated that no election will be held in Anambra. “It was done by 5th columnists,” Abaribe explained.

The planned conduct of the governorship election in Anambra State on November 6th has sparked controversy.

According to rumors circulating, IPOB has declared that the upcoming election will be canceled.

IPOB, on the other hand, has denied issuing such a directive, claiming that it has nothing to do with Nigeria’s electoral system.

Meanwhile, the separatist group in Anambra State has announced a sit-in beginning November 5th.

The order is intended to persuade the Federal Government to free Kanu.
