Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, has urged his supporters not to despair, assuring them that the fight to reclaim “our stolen” mandate is underway.
On Wednesday, Atiku spoke in Abuja through the PDP Presidential Campaign Committee’s Director of Public Affairs, Senator Dino Melaye.
In a short message to supporters he said, “A clarion call on all Atiku’s supporters all over the world not be perturbed.
“Weeping may last all night, but joy comes in the morning”. This grave injustice shall not stand.
“The battle to reclaim our stolen mandate is one of no retreat and no surrender”. We will triumph.”He spoke against the backdrop of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s announcement of the All Progressives Congress candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, as the winner of last Saturday’s Presidential election”.
On Wednesday, Tinubu and his running mate, Vice President-Elect Kassim Shettima, were presented with their certificates of return by INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.
