The incident occurred on Monday evening as the workers were en route home from the company’s facilities.

As the day’s work concluded, the staff bus transporting Dangote Cement employees was overtaken by armed assailants.

The attack took place near Okpella, Edo, a locale in close proximity to Okene, Kogi state.

Reports indicate that the gunmen opened fire, leading to several employees sustaining gunshot wounds.

Michael Odofin, representing Okpella Cement Plc, acknowledged the grave situation, confirming the abduction and the ongoing attack.
