Yul Edochie Hails Tiwa Savage, You’ve Inspired So Many People

Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor, has praised Tiwa Savage for her role in the leaked sex tape saga, saying she has inspired many people who are victims of blackmail.

On his verified Instagram page, the actor posted a photo of Tiwa Savage and praised her for her bravery.

The singer had posted a photo of herself on Thursday night with the comment, “Charge that sh*t to the game and never speak on it again.”

Though she didn’t say what or who she was talking to, it’s worth noting that this remark comes three days after her claimed sex tape became a viral sensation.

Yul Edochie praised Tiwa for her handling of the situation, saying, “I commend you @tiwasavage for the manner you handled the issue.”

“You may not realize it, but you’ve inspired a lot of other people who may be dealing with blackmail in silence.”

“You stood firm against blackmail, which takes a lot of courage. It’s fine. You, like the rest of us, are a human being.

“No one holy is allowed to pass.” There will always be ups and downs in life. You take pleasure in the highs and learn from the lows.

“Anything that doesn’t kill you strengthens you.” Keep your wits about you. Continue to be brave. “It will all pass.” (sic).

What you need to know;

Tiwa Savage said two weeks ago that she was being blackmailed by an unknown person who threatened to leak a sex tape with her and her current lover during an interview with American OAP Angie Martinez of Power 105.1.

The blackmailer wanted money from the Koroba singer in order for her not to release the sex tape, but she refused to pay the money.

A sex tape was posted online on Monday night. While the male in the video’s face was not seen, the lady in the video has a striking similarity to Tiwa Savage.

As soon as the video went viral, users on a variety of social media platforms took to their accounts to express their thoughts on the matter.

Some celebs have shown their support for the singer by posting her image and congratulating her on Instagram.

However, some celebrities, such as actress Georgina Onuoha, have argued that such supporters have done the artist a harm with their acts.

Citizens’ Safety and National Security are Improved by NCC’s Emergency Communications Centres-  Danbatta

Iexclusivenews Nigeria reports that Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has stated that the Commission’s Emergency Communications Centres (ECC) have become a rallying point for the promotion of citizen security.

He also revealed that in the first eight months of the year, the ECCs, which are currently operating in 23 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Abuja, processed nearly 34 million calls related to security and emergency concerns.

Danbatta made this disclosure while delivering a goodwill message at the 17th edition of All Nigerian Editors’ Conference which is ongoing at the Nigerian Air Force Conference Centre, Abuja. The theme of the conference is, “Media in Times of Crises: Resolving Conflict, Achieving Consensus” The EVC stated at the conference, which was organized by the Nigerian Guild of Editors, that the media has always been at the forefront of advocating for ideals that are ennobling, edifying, and unifying.

As a result, he urged media professionals to continue to serve as a rallying point for unity and security in the country by acting as watchdogs in a professional and ethical manner.

He added that honest, balanced reporting of national concerns, particularly those touching on conflict and security issues, would encourage economic development, fight corruption, and eventually improve the country’s security of people and property.

Danbatta, on the other hand, noted that the NCC is helping to improve national security by establishing ECCs, which provide a lifeline to residents in times of hardship.

According to the EVC, there are 23 states in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with operational ECCs, and the centers have had a significant positive impact on Nigerians’ lives.

“In addition to the 23 already established and functioning ECCs, the Commission will soon activate ECCs in nine (9) more states, and also plan to inaugurate similar project in the remaining four (4) states by end of 2022, in keeping with Federal Government’s directive,” he said.

Over 1,500 calls linked to COVID-19-related incidents were received and processed by the Centres in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis in Nigeria, according to the EVC.

“The Centres provided a platform for members of the public to seek life-saving information and support with regards to COVID-19 related cases by dialing ‘112’ from any of the networks.

More remarkably, Nigerians have become more aware of and are using the 122 Emergency Number.

Between January and August, 2021, about 34 million calls were made by Nigerians, who were seeking succor during emergencies or under other security threats and unrest within their communities,” he added.

In recognition of the importance of NCC’s emergency center projects to national security and economic growth, the Senate, Nigeria’s national upper legislative chamber, recently passed a bill to establish the Nationwide Emergency Communications Service, with 112 as the primary toll-free emergency number for the country.

He reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to putting in place various national digital economy policies and regulatory frameworks aimed at expanding digitalization and democratizing public access to communication facilities.

#EndSARS: Uber Driver Assaulted During Memorial Protest Demands N500M Compensation For Violation Of His Right

PRESS RELEASE

Uber driver assaulted during #EndSARS memorial protest demands 500 Million Naira compensation for violation of his rights, seizure and destruction of his vehicle and prosecution of culprits.

We’ve written to the Lagos State Government through the Attorney General of Lagos State to demand payment of the sum of N500,000,000 (Five Hundred Million Naira) as compensation to Adedotun Clement for the gross violation of his fundamental rights to dignity of the human person, personal liberty and property and for the deprivation of his source of livelihood and the destruction of his vehicle.

Adedotun Clement is the innocent Uber driver that was assaulted by some officers of the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps (LNSC) and Nigeria Police Force, during the first anniversary of the #EndSARS protest at Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos.

In addition to payment of monetary compensation, we also demanded that disciplinary measures be taken against the culprits who assaulted Adedotun, and that they should be prosecuted in court in line with the Anti-Torture Act and the Criminal Law of Lagos State.

Also, we are equally demanding a written apology from the state government.

It should be noted that the vehicle of Mr. Adedotun has been returned but in a bad condition. The agents of the state government broke and damaged the front windscreen of his Toyota Corolla.

The implication is that he cannot use the vehicle to earn a living until it is repaired.

My attention has been drawn to the public statement by the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency (LNSA) wherein it is stated that two officers of the agency were subjected to orderly room trial, found guilty of assault and general unruly behaviour and suspended for two months.

While we commend the Lagos State Government for admitting that the conduct of its agents was criminal and unprofessional, we find the two months suspension meted on the two officers grossly insufficient and unacceptable. It is not a deterrence.

The officers should be dismissed and diligently prosecuted in a court of law to serve as a deterrence to others.

Finally, we are expecting the Lagos State Government to respond to our modest demands within 48 hours or we will have no other option but to commence legal proceedings to seek redress for Adedotun.

How Terrorists Bombed Abuja-Kaduna Train Despite Intel Before Attack

This online news outlets learnt that the raid was carried out by Boko Haram and bandits as a coordinated operation in the North-West, confirming their partnership.

The observation of classified messages between a notorious bandit, Baffa, and his ally, Bala, has been reported by Eons Intelligence.

It detailed how the Darussalam, an Arabic code word for Boko Haram, planned and carried out the mission.

Darussalam and bandits commanded by “Danlami and Lawan” were planning to detonate a bomb on the train, according to Baffa, whose communication was intercepted.

Baffa claimed he declined to take part in the operation because it was “risky,” but he believes the two will succeed.

Following the attack on Wednesday, the terrorists returned the next morning to bury an IED (IED).

The bomb went off, but the train continued on to Rigasa, covering another 7 kilometers.

Outlaws in control of regions in the North-West states have a plan to hijack it, seize civilians, and transport them to the forest.

The attack was blamed on “hoodlums” by the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC). Fidet Okhiria, the company’s managing director, described the incident as vandalism.

On Friday, Mohammed Jalige, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna, told DAILY POST that he couldn’t comment because the railway isn’t under the command’s scrutiny.

Only the Force Headquarters, according to CP Oyediran Oyeyemi of the Nigerian Railway Command, could talk.

The operations on the Abuja-Kaduna route have been halted, bringing the threat of non-state armed groups disrupting train services closer to reality.

Bandits were being trained by Boko Haram and the Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) security authorities warned in July.

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) stated that some bandits traveled from Zamfara State to attend drills in terrorist hideouts in Borno State.

ACG Usman Auna signed a document headed “Movement of Armed Bandits from Zamfara to Borno for Intensive Boko Haram Training.”

The information, codenamed NIS/HQ/CGI/943, told immigration officers to step up their surveillance.

BREAKING: Billionaire Femi Otedola Takes Over First Bank Nigeria

iexclusive News Nigeria reports that Nigerian billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola has today, Friday, October 22, 2021, taken over First Bank of Nigeria Plc.

According to an exclusive report monitored by iexclusive News Nigeria on The Wall Street Journal, Femi Otedola has taken over First Bank with his recent acquisition of nearly N30 billion worth of shares, making him the bank’s single largest shareholder.

According to the study, Otedola’s position as the largest shareholder means he has the most voting shares and hence has the most authority over the bank’s direction.

iexclusive News Nigeria gathered that Otedola divested his 75% direct and indirect share holding in Forte Oil, via a merger of his company Zenon Oil and former African Petroleum in 2019, the decision raised questions as to why he made such a decision especially because of the lucrative nature of the oil and gas sector.

Otedola had stated at the time, according to iexclusive News Nigeria, that he intended to investigate and optimize commercial potential in refining and petrochemicals.

Despite having assets in both the real estate and banking industries, Otedola chose First Bank because, unlike other new generation banks, it didn’t have a single person in command, according to the report.

Meanwhile, Otedola pounced on the recent leadership crisis at First Bank, which saw both the bank’s chairman, Ibukun Awosika, and the chairman of FBN Holdings, Obafemi Otudeko, fired by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
