BREAKING: Veteran Musician Victor Uwaifo Dies At 80

 

Sir Victor Uwaifo called the Guiter Boy, a legendary highlife musician, died on Saturday at the age of 80 in Benin.

On Saturday evening, one of his children, Uwaifo Peter de Rock, posted on his Facebook page that the Professor of Visual Arts, University of Benin, UNIBEN, had died.

 

Despite the fact that Peter did not reveal the cause of his father’s death, he acknowledged his sorrow at the loss of the music legend.

 

“Daddy. Why have you abandoned us now? Prof. Victor UWAIFO has retired for the time being. “It’s a sad Saturday for me right now,” the little Uwaifo tweeted, accompanied by 34 sad emoticons.

 

“It’s been a week since we collaborated,” Peter added, disturbed.

 

Under the governorship of Lucky Igbinedion, the famed musicologist served as Commissioner for Arts and Culture.

 

UNIBEN, his undergraduate project of a king on a horse, is a signature arts poster at the university’s Ekenwan Campus. He graduated with honors in Visual Arts.

 

Sir Victor Uwaifo was a dexterous guitarist who was also recognized for his dancing moves.
