Charly Boy: Why I Apologized To My Gay Daughter Dewy

Charly boy has explained why he apologised to his lesbian daughter, Dewy Oputa after she accused him of neglect.

Dewy chastised her father Charles Oputa aka Charlyboy on Instagram after he expressed his feelings about her sexuality.

Charly Boy has stated that he supports his daughter regardless of her sexual orientation.

Dewy, on the other hand, was not thrilled with her father’s statement and accused him of being a “hypocrite.”

Charly Boy said in an interview that he apologized to his daughter because he realized he was intruding into her personal life.

“I apologized since I was having a similar argument with my father, who was attempting to fix my life.

“I fought back and said no, I’ll tell my own story.”

“I didn’t realize I was encroaching,” ‘His Royal Punkness’ continued.

Even though I was frightened at first, as any parent would be, I couldn’t be hypocritical because I have campaigned for LGBT rights and many other rights.

So I can’t change because of my daughter.”

The ‘Area Fada’ went on to say that he had to apologize to his daughter because their relationship was more like that of close friends than that of a conventional father and daughter.

”When I realized it, I apologized to her because we are friends,” he explained.

“It’s not a father-daughter connection; we’re buddies, and that’s the special tie I have with all of my kids.”
